The Food and Drug Administration on Friday granted final approval to a prescription drug used to treat erectile dysfunction on the market, but the Food and Drug Administration did not have the authority to approve it, the agency said in a statement. “This is not the first time a drug has been approved for erectile dysfunction treatment, and in the past we have never approved such a drug in the first place.”
